More than 300 participants from Germany and foreign countries, e.g. China, Poland and the Ukraine joined the 20th International Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium from 9th to 10th June 2016.

This year´s partner country was the People’s Republic of China, which was able to present interesting talks from BAIC, one of the largest car and automobile manufacturers in China, and CRRC, the world’s largest rail vehicle manufacturer. Furthermore top-class lectures were delivered by German speakers, covering topics like the „Body of the future“ by Daimler or „ Innovative materials for lightweight construction“ by thyssenkrupp.

The anniversary symposium was celebrated in the historical ambience of “Albrechtsberg Palace”. The talks of the day were continued at the evening accompanied by elegant music of the gala band „smart evidence“. The summery evening event at this impressive location overlooking the Elbe and the city was enjoyed by the guests.
