CMD in Halle – autumn conference of the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Suizidprävention” 2016

From 21st to 23rd October this year´s autumn conference of the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Suizidprävention (DGS)” took place in Halle. Host of this event was the University Hospital Halle (Saale). As the organizer of this convention we were on site as well.

Focusing on the subject “Suicidality in the context of general practitioner care” more than 140 participants communicated and exchanged views at technical lectures, workshops and open forums. The appealing facilities of the Leopoldina, one of the oldest science academies of the world, offered an appropriate setting for the event. Even at the evening event historical premises played an important role. The participators came together in a relaxed atmosphere at the Kunstforum Halle (art forum), which is a listed mansion of the 19th century. An impressive exhibition of black-and-white photographs by Markus Werner and atmospheric piano music played by Almuth Schulz ensured a great evening.

We are happy about the successful event as well as satisfied customers and participants and we come again with pleasure.

Success record – 21st Supercharging Conference

With more than 300 international participants the 21st Supercharging Conference was again a resounding success. Recent results and development methods were stated and discussed on numerous interesting presentations and conversations. A large exhibition area provided new incentives as well as practice-oriented impressions and offered an outstanding platform to communicate with each other.

Even the evening event at “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” (The Transparent Factory) was a successful event in a pleasant atmosphere. Rocking music by the Queen tribute band MerQury and first class catering by the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski ensured an atmospheric evening.

We are looking forward to the 22nd Supercharging Conference at 28th and 29th September 2017.

15th International Workshop on Cellular Nanoscale Networks and their Applications, CNNA 2016

For the first time the “International Workshop on Cellular Nanoscale Networks and their Applications” took place in Dresden.

The scientific conference was initiated with the 5th Memristor and Memristive Symposium. The symposium´s highlight was the foundation of a memristors center. These are extremely efficient nanoelectronic elements. Professor Leon Chua from the University of California, who has coined the term memristor once, was a guest on the conference and could be won for the advisory board of the new-founded center named after him. The new „Chua Memristor Center“ consists of a great scientific network throughout diverse branches as informatics, electrical engineering, physics and chemistry. The principal objects for all those involved are the investigation of memristors and their application in the development of artificial intelligence.

The next CNNA workshop is scheduled to held in 2018 and will take place in Budapest.
