PLANNING

Systematic preparation is the key to the success of any congress. We organize all events in close cooperation with our clients.

We draw up a schedule and financial plan for the event and monitor adherence to the defined budget. In addition, we conclude contracts with service providers, ensure proper service delivery and take care of all accounting processes.

We regularly report on the current event preparation status, coordinate with and between all participants and make sure that everything runs smoothly at the venue itself.

ABSTRACT MANAGEMENT

We manage academic contributions using a modern, user-friendly abstract management system. This includes monitoring the assessment process, communicating with speakers and compiling documents for both the congress programme and congress proceedings.

Accommodation tax

An accommodation tax on private overnight stays was introduced from the City of Dresden on the 01.07.2015 and is charged on a sliding scale based on the cost of the accommodation per night.

Guests staying in Dresden on business or for the purposes of further and/or continuing education (including seminars, training courses and congresses) are exempt from this new tax. Exemption is nevertheless not automatic and requires guests to provide their hotel with written confirmation from their employer of the official nature of their stay upon arrival.

We are authorized to issue a certificate of tax exemption for accommodation booked as part of all congresses managed by CMD. Participants included in the arrival lists we submit to hotels are not required to provide separate confirmation of the official nature of their stay as their exemption from accommodation tax has already been confirmed.

Accommodation tax is still due in the case of companions (for the duration of their stay) and any private overnight stays added to business trips by congress participants.

COMMUNICATION

We ensure your congress is properly promoted.
This involves sending out invitations, maintaining the address database, designing a layout for all publications and coordinating PR activity. We also assume responsibility for the design and updating of an event website. In addition, we ensure the prompt, high-quality printing of all documents – from name badges to conference proceedings.

EXHIBITIONS/SPONSORING

We are also able to organize exhibition stands and acquire sponsors on your behalf. We’ll conclude contracts, take care of all coordination and draw up an exhibition schedule. In addition, we’ll monitor the stand design process and supervise stand assembly and dismantling at the venue itself.
